Applications are OPEN.

Characters that are apped until August 5th can be treated as belated arrivals from the ticket lottery mentioned above. Characters apped after that point will have to include a different reason for being on Isla Nublar in their app.

Before applying, please make sure you have read the Rules and FAQ thoroughly.
Applications will be checked as soon as possible after they are received. Please give us up to a week to get back to you.

OOC:

Player name: What you would like to go by.
Age: We need to know you're old enough to play here!
Personal journal: For reference.
Other contact info: How else can we get a hold of you?


IC:

Character name: Just who is it you're bringing to the game?
Canon: What series are they from?
Age: How old is your character? If no canon age is given, give us your best guess.
Sex/Gender: If your character identifies as something besides their sex assigned at birth, please put that instead.

Abilities & skills: What they're good at!

Personality: Please write at least a minimum of 250 words describing your character's personality traits. We don't need a full-on analysis, but we want to know what to expect from them. And if for example the way they act around people is vastly different from how they actually feel, we want to hear about both of these things.
This section is meant to be about how your character will act in the game, so it mostly refers to your character's AU self. However, if there is a necessity to make any significant changes from canon, please make note of it.

AU history: No need to get in-depth, but as this is an AU we need a basic rundown of your characters history.

Third or first person sample: Pick the one you like most. You are more than welcome to give us links as long as the thread in question is of a decent length. If we feel the sample given is too short, we might request an additional one.
If you don't put a link and instead write your own sample, please make sure it is long enough to judge your characters voice.

AU history:

Kakeru lives a pretty normal life with his mother in Japan. He goes to elementary school, doesn't pay much attention to that and tells his friends about mysteries.
One day his classmate Natsumi introduces him to a game called B-Daman in which you use marble shooters (called B-Daman) to knock down targets.
She drags him to an open tournament to make him help out at a stall for B-Damans because she knows the owner of the shop and wants to participate in the tournament herself.
While watching the tournament he meets a boy who knows a lot about B-Daman. Even though he owns one he can't use it due to some sort of disability. Kakeru and the boy get along very well and become friends.
The other gives him his B-Daman called Dracyan and teaches Kakeru about the arts of marble shooting. After some time they decide to team up and Kakeru nicknames his partner Dracyan.
They then join a B-Daman club called 'Cross Fight' and meet many other players.

Third or first person sample:

[ Carrying a bunch of books, leaflets and any other informative literature he could find Kakeru heads to his room at full speed almost tripping several times. His thoughts are anywhere but on 'mind the step' signs.
Finally having reached his room, he places the pile of books next to his bed and sits down. ]

This is so exciting!

[ Grabbing one of the books and a dinosaur shaped chocolate bar he starts reading about the park's dinosaurs. ]

Mystery.. I wonder how- UGH

[ Our student adventurer forgot to get rid of the dangerous plasticpackagesaurus and bit right into it.
Pouting he looks up to his side. ]

Dracyan!! You should've warned me- Ah..

[ Right.. so many things have happened today but his partner isn't with him. ]

I'm sure he won't believe me any of this.

[ A while ago they had a discussion about a tiny article on the Jurassic Park incident because unlike Kakeru his friend wasn't very convinced it could be possible.]

I wish I could show him and the others all of this too, hmm...

I know! I'm going to keep a diary so that I don't forget anything important when I tell them about it!

[ He hastily picks a notebook and a pen -with beautiful dinosaur prints- places his marble shooter next to him and starts writing about today's adventures. ]

Welcome to the Park and enjoy your stay! To get started, here are a few things you need to do:

•join deextinction (Main Comm), extinctlogs (Log Comm) and fleacircus (OOC Comm)
•comment with the form here to be added to the Taken list
•check if your AU has any details that should be added to the AU Masterpost
•if you already know where your character will be staying, comment to the Housing list
•introduce yourself in the OOC comm and meet your fellow players

The game's opening log will go up on July 21st. If there are any changes to this date, it will be posted in the OOC comm. After the opening log, you can make posts in the communities whenever you like. Just make sure to tag them with your character's full name in western order. We look forward to having you here!
